JIMMY BRUEN SHIELD
Our Jimmy Bruen team competed in Rathcore on Saturday 14th June and were very fortunate to qualify on 347 - just one stroke clear of the next team. On Sunday 15th June, the team were drawn against Woodlands - who were the leading qualifiers - in matchplay. With 2 matches each, it looked as if Woodlands would be victorious as Larry Lynam and John Foran were 4 down with 5 to play. However, the won the 14th, halved the 15th to be dormy 3 down on 16. They went on to win the last 3 holes to take the match to the 19th which they won. The took the team into the final against Castle Barna. This was won 3/2 to take the team against Headfort at a venue and date to be fixed.
The team who played on both days were Pat Keegan, Joe Morris, John Foran, Larry Lynam, Denis Guinan, John McNally, P.J. McIntyre, Kevin Cleary, John O'Shea, Seamus Murray, Noel Mannion, Stuart Grehan, John Hopkins, J.J. Flanagan and Seamus McKeogh.
The team now play Headfort in the next round - the venue for this match is Trim G.C.
FRED DALY 2008
Our Tullamore team played in Esker Hills in the Qualifying round on Thursday 27th March 2008. The team were the leading qualifiers with a great score of 386 from the 9 teams that played and they now go forward to the Matchplay stages of this competition.
The team were: Ronan O'Grady, Stephen Barrett, Morgan Byrne, Gary Mooney, Stuart Grehan, Alan Lowry and John Foran.
The team played Headfort in Mullingar G.C. on Sunday 11th May. The final match with Stuart Grehan went to the 19th which Stuart won taking our Tullamore team to the next round.
Tullamore play St. Anne's in the next round on the 28th July.
UNDER 15 INTERCLUB MATCHPLAY
Tulllamore are in Group 13 and will have to play Portarlington, Abbeyleix, The Heath and Athy.
The team defeated The Heath on Sunday 20th April 3/2 in The Heath. The team were Alan Lowry, Gavin Clarke, Paul Daly, Owen Wyer and Shane Daly.
Our team received a 'walk-over' from Athy who were unable to field a team. The team defeated Portarlington at home on Sat. 3rd May winning all 5 matches.
The team are now the winners of Group 13 and will now play Cill Dara or Naas in the first round of the matchplay.
The team defeated Cill Dara on Sunday 22nd June.
MIDLAND SENIORS
The Midland Seniors team played Mullingar in the first round on Wednesday 2nd July. The team had 4 wins at home and 1 away to taken them through to the next round. The Home team were Martin Lowry & Joe Eivers: Alo Flaherty & Willie Bryant; Denis Guinan & Matt Flannelly; John Hopkins and Billy Galvin. The Away team were Christy Corroon & J.J. O'Neill; Michael Dalton & Tom Walsh, Michael Gillespie and Seamus Murray.
SOUTH LEINSTER TROPHY
Our Tullamore team defeated Woodlands with 4 matches away and 3 at home on Saturday 19th. The Home team were Joe Cuskelly, Pat Corcoran (Rahan) and Alo Flaherty. The Away team were Ruadhri Clarke, Barry Loughlin, David Deering and David McCann.
The team defeated Mountain View on the17th May. The team were: At Home: Joe Cuskelly, Pat Corcoran (Rahan), Alo Flaherty, Paul Wrafter. Away were: David McCann, David Deering and Claude Glynn.
The team defeated Carlow on Saturday 14th June with 2 wins at home and 2 away. The home team were Pat Corcoran, Alo Flaherty and J.J. O'Neill. The Away team were Paul Wrafter, Joe Cuskelly, Claude Glynn and Ruadhri Clarke.
The team are now due to play Rathdowney in the next round on the 13th July.
MICHAEL MOORE CUP
Tullamore defeated Roscrea in the first round on Monday 23rd June winning 3 matches at home and one away. The home team were Pat Heffernan, Matt Doyle and Ray Carroll. The Away team were Eamonn Lynam, John Dunne, Noel Lonergan and Dominic Daly.
The team are now drawn against Athenry and this match is fixed for Sunday 6th July.
J.B. CARR TROPHY
Our Tullamore team are due to play the Laois winners in this competition. The team panel are Vincent Clarke, Billy Galvin, Michael Gillespie, Aidan Marsden, Alo Flaherty, Matt Flannelly, Martin Lowry, Michael Lynam, J.J. O'Neill, Billy Fox, Frank Monaghan, Liam Keegan, Pat Corcoran, Tom Corroon, Tom Walsh and John Flaherty.

Tullamore are drawn against Mount Temple in the first round. The match is scheduled for 12th July

Our Tullamore team were defeated by Dunmurry Springs on Saturday 5th April. The Home team were Eddie Scully, Peter Garry, Tim Guiney and Vincent Connell. The Away team were Ray Carroll, Tom Barnwell, Pat Heffernan, Liam Scally, Ger Flanagan and Liam Norris.
IRISH MIXED FOURSOMES
Our Tullamore team were defeated by Woodlands on 13th April. The Home team were Martin Darcy & Catherine Daly; Colm Cassidy & Olive Carragher; and Larry Larkin & Cait Cooney. The Away team were Gerry Loughlin & Olwen Cooney; and Shane Molloy & Betsy Flanagan.
CENTRAL TOWNS
Our Tullamore team were defeated by Mount Temple on 18th April with the final match at home being lost on the 20th. The Tullamore team were: At home - Martin Lowry, Billy Fox and Billy Galvin. The Away team were Michael Caffrey, Noel Cleary, Tom Walsh and Michael Brophy.
FBD BARTON CUP 2008 (Holders: Tullamore)
Our Tullamore team were defeated in the first round by Mullingar on 20th April despite 1 win away and 2 matches at home going to the 19th. The Home team were Fergal Scally & Noel Mannion; Martin Darcy & Tony Regazzoni and Morgan Byrne & Denis Guinan. The Away team were Colm Cassidy & P.J. McIntyre and Dave Hughes & Kevin McEntee.

Our Tullamore team defeated Mullingar on Saturday 19th April - 5/5/3.5 - with 5 matches at home and 4 away.
The Home team were Noel Mannion, Connor Daly, Kevin McEntee, Kevin Cleary and Denis Watts. The Away team were P.J. McIntyre, Larry Lynam, Joe Morris and John McNally.
Our team exiting this competition as a result of a defeat by Castle Barna on the 9th May.

IRISH JUNIOR CUP
Tullamore will be playing in the Junior Cup in Castle Barna on 24th May - teeing off at 8.00. There are 18 clubs entered
Our Tullamore team failed to qualify for the 2nd round of this competition. The team were Stuart Grehan, Seamus McKeogh, Larry Lynam, Morgan Byrne and Colm Cassidy.
DUGGAN CUP
Tullamore defeated Glasson in the first round on 30th April. The team won the 2 matches at home and with 1 win away, the remaining 2 matches were called in. The team were At Home: Pat Corcoran & Billy Galvin and Joe Eivers & Martin Lowry. The Away team were John Hopkins & Tom Walsh, Denis Guinan & Joe Morris and Sean Larkin & Mick Gillespie.
Our team were defeated by Bodenstown on the 24th May. The Home team were Pat Corcoran & Billy Galvin and Joe Eivers & Martin Lowry. The Away team were Denis Guinan & Joe Morris; John Hopkins & Tom Walsh and Sean Larkin & Mick Gillespie.
PIERCE PURCELL
Our Tullamore team played in the qualifying stage of this competition in Mount Temple on Sunday 18th May. 16 clubs wer playing in Mount Temple with the top 4 advancing to day 2. Tullamore took the 4th spot. The 4 qualifying teams now play in Mount Temple on Sunday 25th May in matchplay format, with the winners from the morning matches playing each other in the afternoon to produce a winner from Mount Temple to advance. Tullamore will play Moate at 8.30.
The team were Billy Galvin & Catch Grogan; Tony Regazzoni & Pat Corcoran (Rahan); Tom Corroon & J.J. O'Neill; Aidan Moyles & Ollie Spollen; T.F. Walsh & Frank Monaghan.
The Tullamore team had a great victory over Moate who were the leading qualifiers on Day 1. The team met our neighbours Esker Hills in the afternoon final. One match went to the 19th but the final deciding match went to the 20th before Tullamore were declared the winners. Additional members added to the team were Mick Gillespie, Donal Farrelly, David McCann, Catch Grogan, Noel Cleary, Mick Brophy and Willie Egan.
Our Tullamore team were defeated by The Curragh in the Heath G.C. on the 7th June.
HEINEKEN MIXED
Tullamore defeated Mount Temple in the first round of this competition on May 10th in a match that proved to be very excting going to the final hole at both courses. They now meet Rathdowney in the next round. The team were At Home: P.J. Barron and Kathleen Moylan; Joe Morris and Concepta Walsh and J.J. Flanagan and Marie Daly. The Away team were Denis Guinan and Rosemary Fox; Willie O'Grady and Mary Guiney; Brendan Dooley and Jo Barber and Martin Darcy and Betsy Flanagan.
The team were defeated by Rathdowney on Saturday 7th June winning just 2 matches from 4 at home and just 1 from 3 away. Additional members added to the team were John Cullen, Olive Carragher, Seamus Egan, Mairead McLoughlin, John O'Shea, Mary Dagg.
BARTON SHIELD
Our Tullamore team were defeated by Edenderry in Knightsbrook G.C. on Saturday 21st June. The team were Ronan Coleman, Martin Darcy, Ronan O'Grady and Eoin Marsden.
INTER-CLUB JUNIOR MATCHPLAY
Our Tullamore team failed to qualify in Co. Meath G.C. on 24th June. The team were Ronan O'Grady, Philip McCarthy, Gary Mooney, Darragh O'Toole, Michael Kenaney and Gary Hughes.
TUDENHAM CUP
Tullamore are drawn against The Heath in the first round of this competition. The 2 Away matches were played in The Heath with Tullamore securing one win. However, the Home matches were postponed due to the bad weather and these were played on 28th June. The home matches were successful with one win but the 2nd match lost on the 18th.
The Away team were Seamus Egan & Paschal Dunne; John Flaherty & Donal Farrelly; John O'Shea & Kevin McEntee. The Home team are Shane Molloy & David Deering; Kevin Adams & Seamus Murray.
